Waggies by Maggie & Friends
Marts Oil and Waggies by Maggie & Friends have partnered to distribute more than 130,000 dog biscuits to Marts Oil customers to thank you for their loyalty and patronage throughout the heating season. Waggies by Maggie & Friends is a natural dog treat company that employs persons with intellectual disabilities.
Because of Marts Oil’s large order, Waggies by Maggie & Friends has expanded its team, and now employs eight part-time bakers, four days a week. All dog biscuit sales benefit Waggies by Maggie & Friends employees, who need guidance and support as they navigate the work world. The company relies heavily on community support from volunteers to empower the Waggies team and help them perfect the skills they need to make and package a quality product.

"Baking dog treats has nothing to do with heating oil, but it warms my heart! I volunteer at Waggies By Maggie & Friends every month. They make dog treats. I work with the bakers to package the treats and get them ready for our customers. Many of my customers have dogs, so I know that the treats we enclose in the meter bills are going to be appreciated."
